Aglio orsino is a wild form of garlic with an aromatic scent and flavor. It has fleshy leaves of bright green color, with white flowers in the shape of stars. It blooms between April and May.
It owes its name to the fact that the bears that came out of hibernation ate large quantities of it to purify themselves after the long rest. It has antibiotic, antifungal, purifying, antiseptic, anti asthmatic, hypotensive, diuretic properties and lowers cholesterol.
